(See jorgealabe.com)  Various styles of Brazilian music and dance will be performed and explained, including Candomble, samba de roda, pagode, and batucada.  Each of the styles chosen represents a stage in the development of samba and/or a different setting in which samba is played.  (The performance will be preceded by a brief introduction by Professor Vaughan and Mr. Alabe.)
