Bhangra is a Punjabi dance style conducted by Punjabi people of Punjab. Bhangra performances are usually a celebration of harvesting; but it eventually became a part of such diverse occasions as weddings and New Year celebrations. CSUMB APIA would like to enrich campus and the community of this culture in a way of entertainment and education, by teaching Bhangra dance. It will be a fast pace dance. APIA member, Purvi Shah would be teaching a piece that she has been working on. Participants would have the opportunity to perform this piece at future APIA events.
