The CSUMB Alumni Association presents the Parents Reception at the Alumni & Visitor Center on Friday, May 18th at 4pm. Please join us, President Dianne Harrison, Provost Kathy Cruz-Uribe, CSUMB staff, faculty, deans, fellow graduates and parents for this annual reception.

The African American Graduation Celebration is a free event that honors the achievements of CSUMB¿s African-American students who have completed a degree in higher education. However, all CSUMB graduates regardless of ethnic affiliations are encouraged to participate. This year we¿re celebrating the 14th Annual Ceremony. During the ceremony, graduates are given the opportunity to thank their parents, friends, families, and instructors if they wish. The program is followed by a reception where all can gather and rejoice with the grads.

This inspiring documentary is about women warriors in their most fierce and intimate battle to overcome visible and invisible wounds.Through the personal stories of five women veterans, the film reveals the pain, struggle and hope in building a life after the minitary and in creating a new normal for themselves. After the film screening there will be a Q&A session with the films producers. The Film screening is FREE but parking permits are required.
