The Trail of Tears Cherokee Legacy

The film documents the forced removal of the Cherokee Nation from the southeastern United States to Oklahoma in 1838. Steven R. Heape, the film's executive producer and a citizen of the Cherokee Nation and Patti Jo King, American Indian hisorian & lecturer and advisor on the film will be on had to discuss the film and answer questions. Doors Open at 5:30pm

We will be bringing in Simon Cedillo who is an activist and travels all around the world and films documentaries. He will be talking about his recent travels and may be showing a documentary. His documentaries are about injustices happening around the globe that many people are not aware of.

CSUMB faculty and staff facilitate this opportunity where students will learn guiding principles and decision making skills that will enhance their abilities to be successful within, and beyond, their higher education experience.
