Helping Students in Emotional Distress

Thu, March 18 2010 - 12:00 PM to 01:00 PM
Location: Campus Health & Counseling Center - 080-PGC

Join the staff of the Personal Growth & Counseling Center for an informal discussion on providing help for students in emotional distress.
Bring your lunch!
Dessert and drinks will be provided!
This event is sponsored by the Personal Growth & Counseling Center, under the direction of Health & Wellness Services and in observance of Suicide Prevention & Awareness Week and National Social Work Month 2010.

Helping Students in Emotional Distress

Thu, March 18 2010 - 12:00 PM to 01:00 PM
Location: Campus Health & Counseling Center - 080-PGC
University faculty and staff members are often the first to recognize that a student may be struggling emotionally. Students may turn to you because they know and respect you. You, as part of the staff or faculty at CSUMB, may find it helpful to have some basic information about how to help in these situations.
Call the PGCC at 582-3969 for more information.
